Volunteer Orlando's FAQs

Volunteer Orlando plan, manage, and lead corporate and group volunteer projects that accelerate solutions to community problems.
How many people can participate in an activity?
Small groups to over 2,500 people can take part in a volunteer project.
Where do most activities happen?
Most occur at hotels, with other popular sites including nonprofit organizations, workplaces, or your own location.
How much lead time is needed?
Lead time varies due to project complexity, group size, and location.
Can our group help more than one nonprofit or public school during our project?
Yes! When projects and activities take place at hotels, convention centers, workplaces, or your location.
How does group volunteering compare to ropes courses, bowling and other activities for teambuilding?
Our activities help people. Results are tangible and deeply rewarding. Because people help together, team building happens naturally.
Why is there a cost? We are donating our time.
Your time is incredibly valuable and directly benefits nonprofits, public schools, and parks. Most of these organizations work on tight budgets and can’t afford to fund, manage, and lead episodic group volunteer projects. Project fees cover essential supplies, tools, volunteer support, planning, management, set-up, on-site leadership, and clean-up - so your group can focus on making a meaningful impact.
Are special skills needed to participate?
No special skills are required. Groups with tech, trade, or consulting expertise can support nonprofits with those specific needs, but all you really need is a smile and a desire to make a difference.
Do activities involve fundraising, administrative work, political activism, or religious proselytizing?
No. Our projects focus entirely on hands-on volunteer service that makes a direct, positive impact in the community.
