Americold Gives Back - Bus Reader - Volunteer Orlando (Example)
You guessed it! Our buses aren't headed to Walt Disney World or Universal EPIC Universe, but we are going on an adventure!
We’re heading to HOME (Helping Others Make The Effort), a nonprofit organization that helps women and their children.

HOME provides supportive housing to single moms and their children. It empowers families to turn adversity into a strong determination to achieve long-term happiness and success. It is an oasis of hope - it's HOME.

HOME Needs Americold's HELP!
HOME does not have the staff, time, or resources required to take full use of its four-acre campus of possibilities. Time, a scorching sun and rain have worn out its paint, rotted picnic tables, rusted play and exercise playground.

When We Arrive at HOME
We'll be greeted by Volunteer Orlando, our project leader, when we arrive.
We'll walk from our buses a short distance to the welcome area. You'll experience a rousing welcome at HOME.
You should already know your primary activity. It's printed on your Americold name tag.
Be on the lookout for the sign that identify your task in the welcome area, held by your Volunteer Orlando task leader, and say hello!
Safety First!
Help at your own pace. Do things you are comfortable doing. Take breaks whenever you wish.
Restrooms are in the Community Center building and inside designated apartments.
Plenty of coolers with bottled water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, gloves and first-aid kits are near every work area.

400 Hearts - 800 Hands - ONE TEAM!
As a team we'll tackle a wide variety of challenging hands-on tasks. From painting to landscaping. We'll build garden boxes, create an outdoor classroom. Assemble picnic tables, paint apartments. And every mom will receive a big bag of groceries.

THANK YOU!
You have traveled from around the world to help people you don't know.
Your effort will make a long-term positive impact that will change the lives of moms and their children.
It amounts to a 1200 hour day of doing good. Thank you and thanks, Americold!
